Stripes Corporate and Commercial team is dedicated to advising companies, management teams and entrepreneurs on all forms of corporate and commercial activity. Headed up by Stephen Jarman, Adrian Leslie and Melanie Yeomans, all highly experienced lawyers with City experience, the team handles a wide variety of transactional and non-transactional matters for clients.
With vast experience in the field of corporate finance, the team regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs and buy-ins, refinancings, disposals, joint ventures and fund raisings.  The team also works closely with insolvency practioners advising on turnarounds and reorganisations of businesses in difficulty.
The team’s commercial workload is varied, ranging from advice on shareholder agreements and incorporation issues for companies through to the preparation of terms and conditions of business, agency and distribution agreements, franchising agreements and intellectual property licences. Partnership matters, including limited liability partnership issues, are also regularly dealt with.
With strong professional contacts throughout the region, the team can also introduce you to advisers in other fields, such as accountants, corporate finance advisers, institutional investors and lenders, as may be required throughout the life cycle of your business.
The team places great importance on really getting to know each individual client’s business and their requirements, both legal and commercial. They see this as key to providing added value advice and support to all clients and to enable a truly pro-active service.
