Stripes Solicitors were featured in the news this week, appearing in a number of outlets after helping secure a management buyout for one of the North West’s leading suppliers of medical equipment.
Steve Jarman, Stripes’ director of company and commercial, advised on the deal for Medicina, a Bolton-based organisation with an annual turnover of £10 million. The negotiation saw Medicina managing director Ken Harrison become the sole owner of the firm after purchasing the balance of shares from co-founder Mark Graham.
Speaking about the deal, Steve Jarman from Stripes Solicitors, said:

Now under the sole ownership of managing director Ken Harrison, Medicina aims to expand into more European countries, as well as doubling its annual revenues to £20 million. The company currently sells to wholesalers in Australia, New Zealand, Holland and Norway and plans to market to companies in Germany, Italy and Australia in the next few months.
Medicina was founded in 1992 and supplies enteral syringes and accessories which are used to administer drugs and nutritional products into the intestinal tract. The company employs 24 staff and operates from a base in Blackrod, near Bolton.
