Crain’s Manchester Business, April 21 2009
Manchester law firm Stripes Solicitors has appointed former professional cricketer Peter Seal as its new business development manager.
Seal, who spent two years at Lancashire Cricket Club before an injury ended his career in 1992, will take on the role on a part-time basis while continuing to run his own Rossendale-based recruitment firm Fenton Seal.
The firm has also appointed Simon Bowkett as its new practice manager. Bowkett joins after spending nine years at Poole Alcock, which has a network of office in south Cheshire. He will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the firm.
“After almost a decade at my previous employer I was looking to join a city centre practice,” he said.
“I am delighted to welcome Peter and Simon on board,” said Stripes Solicitors’ director of Corporate Stephen Jarman. “The experience they have in their respective fields will be a valuable addition to the team at Stripes.”
